Zion’s south entrance lies 13 miles from our RV resort, making us a convenient Zion National Park campground for your southern Utah vacation headquarters. Zion Canyon, the most visited portion of the park, is full of trails the whole family can enjoy, including Weeping Rock (0.5 miles round trip), Riverside Walk (2 miles round trip) and Emerald Pools (2.4 miles round trip). It also features trails ideal for adventurous hikers, including Angels Landing (5 miles round trip) and Observation Point (8 miles round trip), two climbs to amazing top-down viewpoints of Zion Canyon. Ranking fifth on National Geographic’s list of 100 best adventures, the Zion Narrows attracts thousands of extreme hikers every year. The 16-mile journey requires trudging through the Virgin River most of the way, but is scenic its entire length with canyon walls that are only 15 feet wide in some spots. If you are a hiker, you will love camping closer to the park at the crown jewel among Zion National Park campgrounds, Zion River Resort.
Our Zion National Park campground is not only a great headquarters for visiting Zion. It is also an excellent springboard for day trips to nearby national park system areas, including Grand Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Bryce Canyon National Park. Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon are incomparable natural amphitheaters displaying rock pinnacles, fins and spires in all sizes, shapes and hues. One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon is a deep chasm that stretches for 277 miles. A multiple national park vacation based out of our Zion National Park campground will be an experience you will remember for a lifetime!
